Expansive, bulbous oval form on four ornate curved feet in Rocaille manor. The edge also accordingly and also pierced with openings. Double-sided large cartouches engraved with the monogram "MH" with voluptuous floral décor on the narrow sides. The jardinière is flanked by two putti.
Josef Carl von Klinkosch (1822-1888) was an eminent Viennese silversmith and purveyor. His customers included not only the upper middle class and nobles, but from 1855 also the imperial court. Numerous works by Klinkosch can be found today among others in the collections of the Hofburg and the Prague National Museum.
