The world has changed. We must remember however, that many things remain constant. The great objects of yesterday, today and tomorrow will remain great and continue to be sought after. The most important task is to find those items that qualify as really outstanding; there is a great shortage of all those treasures we truly desire.
Bearing the above in mind we are in the privileged position of having the opportunity to put before you this great collection of wonderful, fine quality silver to choose from. Unlike the world's governments printing money (and then paying zero to borrow it back) these magnificent objects cannot be made any longer and we hope that you will agree that they can be categorised as outstanding. They are now part of our history and tell their own stories.
One feature that should be invariable is quality. We have tried with enormous effort to find old silver that is not just of great quality and in great condition; that is not just by the best makers; but objects that have great style and design.
In recent years we have been very proud to work with many of the world's leading museums such as the Metropolitan Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Ashmolean, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Museum and the Fogg Art Museum as well as many private collections. We will of course advise those who are starting to collect as well as those who already own and enjoy antique silver.
Koopman Rare Art has long been one of London's leading silver dealers and we constantly search for additions to our inventory so please keep in touch and call in to the showroom, look at the website or visit us at one of the antique fairs at which we exhibit.
